Mission #3: Observe the world around you...

I love going downtown and watching all the people walk by. Then I start thinking who knows about Jesus and who doesn't. Downtown, malls, grocery stores, and pretty much everywhere else are ideal places to leave letters addressed to the person who happens to pick them up, powerful song lyrics, and anonymous notes. If you have extra money, you could even leave a gift! It's really fun to get little presents at the dollar store and wrap them up and stick a letter or something inside. You can watch from afar and see their reaction, and if they look like they need a hug or something, don't be afraid to go! Think of 5 things you can to do lift someone's mood or burden, and then do those things! I dare you.

God bless you :) Destiny

About reactions and dafont.com

I have exactly 15 minutes to write this. I'm waiting for a friend to come over. She was actually one of the people who got a letter from God! There were quite a few letters, actually. Hahahaha :)

So about people's reactions... everyone reacts differently. Some people get mad, others are happy and some think you're trying to mess with them. If you get a not-so positive reaction, don't worry. Be happy that people get mad at you for sharing your faith or giving them the message they need to hear. (I constantly need to remind myself of this. xD) Because then, they have heard and we can wait and see what happens next! God knows what He's doing. So if He tells you to do something, you really should do it. If you don't, you could miss out on LOTS. LOOOOOTS. No joke.

So this site: dafont.com, has lots of really good fonts to use in letters or notes or whatever. I'll post pictures of the letters and stuff later, too.

One more thing, presents are an awesome way to put a smile on someone's face, too! You could put something that your recipient of a note or letter really likes and make it a present! People love getting presents. You might find that you prefer giving them. :)

Share your ideas of making someone's day, too!

Mission #2: For you who are bold...make friends!

If you're like me and have had bad experiences with friends, then I don't blame you for cringing at those words. If not, you're very lucky. Either way, friends are essential, aren't they? Each person is different and unique. The best ways to make someone's day are...

1.) Smile! A smile says a lot. Like, I care about you, or I hope you're doing good. It also lets others know that you are friendly and approachable, and that you're not rude. A smile has the power to change someone's life.
2.) Start a conversation. Listen to the person when they are talking, too! Ask them how their weekend was or what they are doing after school or work. Don't be cheesy, though. That scares people. See if you have any common interests!
3.) Be friendly and brave. People know when you're faking. Believe me. Let them know that you aren't, and that you won't hurt them. Victims of bullying are very fragile, so be gentle and kind. Always.

If you see anyone being bullied, or anyone who is alone and looks lonely, why not go to them? What if that was you. How would you feel? Maybe one of these days I'll share my testimony, but I know that if I had someone stand up for me when I was bullied (which was often..), things may have been better. Lots better.

I wanted to share this really powerful skit, too. Keep an open mind.

Mission #1: For those who are shy...try writing letters.

So I totally understand if you agree with me and would like to do something...but don't know what to do or have  any idea where to start. And if you're shy (like me!) then you are probably sweating right now. Or if you just want to do something, then awesome :)

A really cool way to anonymously care for someone is to write a little note with a favorite Bible verse or a really powerful quote or just a kind word, and then leave it on a desk or drop it on the floor! Get creative!

I started writing letters from Bible verses a few months ago. It's like getting a letter from God. You can take verses, too, and write a letter from God to a person and then drop it or slip it in a backpack, or on a porch. Here is an example:

Beloved,
I promise to give you peace-- not just escape from internal conflict or turmoil in your life, but a deep, inner peace that comes from finding your contentment, security and fulfillment in me. Rest in my perfect peace. Read Ezekiel 34:25, know that I am here for you. Always.
-Your God

It's really fun (but remember, let God speak through you.)! Then get an envelope (it's best if you use special fonts and paper for individuality!) and address the letter to someone you know or you could say, Whoever happens to find this... or something like that. Printing with special fonts is best, because if it's handwritten, then people can tell that it's you. It's supposed to be something anonymous, because then you don't get the credit. Amazingly, that is the best feeling. When you don't get found out, when you have done something awesome for God. :)

You can origami-fold notes and letters, too. Brainstorm all kinds of shapes! Hearts are really cool looking. and stars would be awesome. If you have plain paper, try splashing a colored ink on it and dabbing it with a tissue to create an effect. Have fun with it!

If you looooove music, then a really powerful song is awesome, too. Who knows? Maybe what you write is the exact thing someone needs to hear. Or maybe they stuff it in their bag or backpack and find it at the exact right time later?

So letter by letter and note by note, let's brighten people's days. There is nothing like it, I promise. :)

E-mail me if you have any questions or anything. Tell me how you are doing, or if you've done this or tried this!

P.S. - When I start school, I'll post as often as possible to tell you how I've been doing with the letters and notes.
